The Baya weaver birds (Topchara as it is commonly called in Nepal) build their nest in Kathmandu, Nepal on Saturday, June 17, 2023.
Baya weavers are famous for their nest construction using long, flexible strips of grass and other plant-based materials to weave their nests. The male builds the nest and tries to attract a female by displaying it in front of it, and if a female approves, she lines the inside of the nest with soft materials like grass or feathers to make it more comfortable.
