Devotees pull a chariot of living goddess kumari, living god Ganesh and Bhairav as they celebrate the last day of 'Indra Jatra' festival at Hanuman Dhoka Durbar squire in Kathmandu, Nepal on Monday 02 October 2023. The annual festival, named after Indra, the god of rain and heaven, is celebrated by worshipping, rejoicing, singing, dancing, and feasting in Kathmandu Valley to mark the end of the monsoon season. INDRA JATRA 2080 ( Last Day) Devotees pull a chariot of living goddess kumari, living god Ganesh and Bhairav as they celebrate the last day of 'Indra Jatra' festival at Hanuman Dhoka Durbar squire in Kathmandu, Nepal on Monday 02 October 2023. The annual festival, named after Indra, the god of rain and heaven, is celebrated by worshipping, rejoicing, singing, dancing, and feasting in Kathmandu Valley to mark the end of the monsoon season. The Baya weaver birds (Topchara as it is commonly called in Nepal) build their nest in Kathmandu, Nepal on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Baya weavers are famous for their nest construction using long, flexible strips of grass and other plant-based materials to weave their nests.
The male builds the nest and tries to attract a female by displaying it in front of it, and if a female approves, she lines the inside of the nest with soft materials like grass or feathers to make it more comfortable.
